God’s plan has not changed from the beginning, and it is built around a living, breathing, everyday interaction between Himself and His children. This is the reason for the aching you feel deep inside of your heart for something more. There is more than just going through the motions of life, more than trying to do good things, more than a church life that doesn’t fulfill.
God made you to know Him - not just know about Him, or have a distant relationship where you only know Him sometimes, or you will know Him someday - but to see Him, feel Him, hear Him, and know Him RIGHT NOW, in a 24/7 true relationship. This is the relationship that you were made for, just like Jesus, just like Abraham, just like Adam!
This is what God is doing through us here at Damascus Road - reconciling individuals and their Father God to begin walking in the real life, the GodLife, you were made for. We are training people to walk in hand in hand relationship with the Father, and through that, setting into motion God’s destiny for you!
If you can’t go another day as is, then God has you right where He wants you.
He is ready to fulfill His plan for you, and for the earth. He is training up an army, the sons and daughters of God, made in His likeness and image to fulfill His great plan for the Earth!
God’s plan for you is that you would know him in a real and everyday way, and then share that way with others. God did not create you to run errands for him, or to do things to try to please him. He is already pleased with you and wants to give you everything that he has promised. He is not interested in all of the “right” Christian things, and his attention is not on all of your wrongs. All that He cares about is real, consistent, interaction with you, and He will take care of the rest.
All of these things, this relationship with God, are available to you right now. You don’t have to do anything except say “yes” to him. God is not looking for perfect people; he is looking for willing hearts. God is raising up regular, imperfect people like you and me to know Him. He is equipping the ones he loves like an army, created to do great things that will bring His great move of love and reconciliation to the Earth.
The calling of Damascus Road is to show the way to God, leading others into true intimacy with Him. We are Training, Equipping, and Modeling how to love God and know Him in a real way, so that you can hear his voice, meet with Him face to face, and really get to know Him for yourself. Through this relationship, you will find his purpose for you, living a life with him, being made perfect by his love.
